In the Winter of 2013, Bishop Conlon asked the Joliet Diocese Catholic Committee on Scouting to look into hosting a Scouting Religious Retreat. In the early Spring of 2014, Religious Crew 3:16 was formed to undertake that challenge. After months of intensive planning and research, the first Ros-a-Ree was held in August of 2014, and in now continues to be an annual event.
The Ros-a-Ree welcomes all Catholic Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, American Heritage Girls, Scouts BSA, Campfire Youth, and Venturers who are entering the 5th grade (or higher) the year of the Ros-a-Ree. It is a great way to learn about your faith, and as a bonus, it counts as the retreat requirement that is needed for many religious recognitions from these organizations. This year, the Ros-a-Ree will be held August 9-11th at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, OS233 Church St. Winfield, Il
